Best Overall — COSORI Smart Air Fryer Toaster Oven

1.COSORI Smart Air Fryer Toaster Oven
1. COSORI Smart Air Fryer Toaster Oven

We have tested many air fryer ovens but my personal favorite is COSORI smart oven. The COSORI Smart Air Fryer Toaster Oven is built around one idea: combine almost every countertop cooking appliance into a single smart machine. COSORI oven has many models like the 26L, 30L, or Deluxe XLS versions, you can pick according to your choice but in all models, you get 12 to 13 cooking presets, including Air Fry, Bake, Roast, Broil, Toast, Bagel, Pizza, Rotisserie, Dehydrate, Ferment, and Sous Vide.

COSORI oven has LED display panel is bright and clear. It has a top dial for selecting cooking functions — toast, bagel, pizza, bake, roast, air fry, broil, cookies, rotisserie, dehydrate, ferment, and warm — and a bottom dial for adjusting time and temperature.

COSORI smart air fryer oven has price range $170–$250.

Accessories:

COSORI smart oven comes with 6 accessories including crumb tray, fry basket, food tray, wire rack, rotisserie fork set, rotisserie handle. The most interesting thing that comes with COSORI oven is recipe book, and user manual. It also has 2 years warranty.

Pros:

  • Smart app and voice control. With its smart app and voice control smart feature you can adjust temperature and time remotely, monitor your food while it cooks, and pull up hundreds of guided recipes just in one click. If you are tired and feeling lazy and dull and you have forgotten to flip something or wanted to start preheating from another room, this is the feature that you actually need and it gets used daily.
  • Genuinely large capacity. As I told you earlier about COSORI air fryer oven models, the bigger models have featured the fit a 13-inch pizza, up to 9 slices of bread, or a 5.5-pound chicken, with these excellent features it can replace a second oven for most weeknight cooking and save your time to enjoy more.
  • 360-degree hot air circulation with dual-speed convection fans, which COSORI says cooks up to 30% faster than older single-fan designs — and in practice, food does come out evenly crisped on both sides without needing a mid-cook flip.
  • Easy cleanup. Almost all removeable parts of COSORI air fryer toaster oven, parts like removable crumb tray, and a food tray are dishwasher-safe, this air fryer oven has stainless steel exterior, nonstick interior.

Cons:

  • Every good thing also has some bad things. COSORI oven combo has smart app and voice control feature but it is a big appliance which means the 30L version takes up real counter space, so it’s not ideal for small kitchens.
  • It is workable with manual and online in both ways. COSORI smart features depend on your Wi-Fi and the VeSync app, which adds a small setup step compared to a fully manual oven.
  • Some users note the included accessories vary depending on which retailer or exclusive bundle you buy.

Who Should Buy COSORI Air fryer Oven?

Those who have large kitchens, large countertop space or those who actually wants all features in one appliance, those who want to replace its old toaster, air fryer or oven and upgrade them in one appliance. I Tested the COSORI, Panasonic, and Ninja Air Fryer Toaster Ovens — Here’s the One I’d Actually Buy Again

My counter has gone through three air fryer toaster ovens in the last year. Not because they broke — because I kept hearing “this one’s better” and, being the kind of person who can’t leave well enough alone, I had to find out for myself. So, I lived with the COSORI Smart Air Fryer Toaster Oven, the Panasonic FlashXpress, and the Ninja Prestige Smart XL, one after another, cooking the same handful of meals on each: wings, a roast chicken, weekday toast, a frozen pizza on a lazy Friday.

Before I Started Cooking — First Impressions

I want to mention one thing I noticed across all three ovens before I even put food in: the COSORI and the Ninja both have convection fans. The Panasonic does not. This sounds like a technical detail but it ends up mattering enormously in every single test I ran. Keep that in mind as you read through the results.

Before I cooked anything, I did what the manual recommends — a test run on toast setting number seven to burn off the new oven smell and any factory residue. Then I wipe off the oven with clean cloth.

Test 1: Frozen Pizza

COSORI — Pizza

I know I wanted to make pizza for myself. So, I take a frozen pepperoni pizza same brand across all three tests. Then I switch on the COSORI oven and select its pizza preset and press start.

I used 12-inch pizza and place it directly on the wire rack. I place whole 12-inch pizza in the oven without trimming the crust because COSORI measures 13.9 inches deep so there was actually a bit of room around the edges. I first set my oven time10 minutes and temperature at 425°F. I keep looking at my oven time to time as COSORI has glass display. When the timer went off, I pulled it out, the pizza is quite done by need some few minutes to turn golden and crispy.

So, I gave 5 more minutes at same temperature then it turns out golden and crispy. Cheese was golden and bubbling evenly across the whole pizza. Then I make pieces of pizza and take one slice to check it’s flavor, t had crisped up nicely without changing its actual flavor.

As pizza is ready to made item, so it did not make oven much dirty, so little cleaning was required.

My actual time of pizza in COSORI oven is 15 minutes at 425°F.

Panasonic — Pizza

I Panasonic oven I hit the first real problem. It can fit maximum 9-inch pizza in it and mine is 12-inch pizza. So, I put back my 12-inch pizza and take out 9-inch pizza to cook in Panasonic oven. If you don’t have 9-inch pizza jut cut the 12-inch in such a way that it can fit into Panasonic oven.

I set pizza by default time and temperature which is 9 minutes at 500°F. but it can vary with the thickness  and size of pizza.

Now, the personal pizza came out fine. It browned quickly — the infrared heating is genuinely fast — and the crust crisped up reasonably well. But the only drawback is its size compared to ninja and COSORI air fryer oven.

My actual time of Panasonic flashxpress oven is 9 minutes at 500°F for 9-inch pizza.

Ninja — Pizza
Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer
Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer

Same 12-inch pizza, same brand, straight onto the rack. Selected Pizza preset and let it run.

I set up 15 minutes time at 400°F temperature which is also by default pizza setting of ninja oven. To be honest, the results are almost same as of COSORI oven. Cheese evenly golden, crust crisped on the bottom, center cooked through with no cold soggy patch. Timing was close to the COSORI as well but temperature setting is different.

If you put both pizzas in front of me and asked me to tell them apart, I’m not sure I could. The Ninja’s Smart Surround Convection fan does the same job as the COSORI’s dual-speed fans on a flat, even surface like a pizza.

My actual time of pizza in Ninja oven is 15 minutes at 400°F.

Test 2: Whole Chicken

COSORI — Whole Chicken

I take a whole chicken, cleaned it and then marinate it with salt, pepper, parsley, lemon and some other spices. Then I tie its drumsticks tightly.

I select the rotisserie function and set the time and temperature of 1 hour 10 minutes at 193°C (380°F).  I hanged the chicken in such a way that its drumsticks did not touch the tray and chicken move smoothly for even cooking. I also place a baking tray covered with aluminum foil to catch dripping.

After times out, I take out the chicken give it rest of 5 minutes and then tasted it. It turns out amazing, skin is crispy and golden and juicy from inside. The tips of large chicken seems out little overcooked but overall experience is good.

But it makes oven dirty as chicken is marinated with oil and the grease was seeping out of the oven’s door making counter dirty. I placed a piece of aluminum under it to catch the grease.

Always clean your oven after making such dishes, it may increase the shelf life of your oven.

Panasonic — Whole Chicken

This is the most important finding of this entire test, and I want to be completely straight with you:

The Panasonic FlashXpress oven combo cannot cook a whole chicken.

It can cook chicken parts like chicken wings or etc, but not whole chicken due to its size. The time and temperature used for chicken pieces is 20–25 min at 400°F, depending on the size and thickness of pieces.

Ninja — Whole Chicken

I took the same amount of whole chicken marinated with my favorite spices and place in ninja oven combo at 375°F–400°F for 55–75 minutes at low fan speed. Did same things as in COSORI oven, like placing aluminum lined baking sheet for dripping.

The results are almost identical to COSORI oven.
